Looks like I’m a super secret surprise guest… shhhhhhhhh don’t let anyone know I told you.

Wow. That’s a heck of a title isn’t it? Over the weekend I was researching some video sharing alternatives for Illusion’s broadband needs and I just got floored by the amount of ill-informed teenagers using the word “cum” to mean its phonetic equal (come). I’m seeing video comments like “ALL FANS NEED 2 CUM TO DIS CONCERT”. Someone, anyone, please tell these kids that they’re writing statements that are hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

I was thinking about what we’ve been able to do with Illusion this year and this is what where we’re at:

Went from 2 to 32 cable affiliates nationwide
Produced 3 original series and one special
We’ve been plugged in Sci-Fi Wire, Starlog, Sci-Fi Scanner, io9, Slice of Sci-Fi, Sci-Fi News, Ain’t it Cool News, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Publisher’s Weekly, Variety and tons of others
We’ve profiled some great artists like Ray Bradbury and Harry Harrison
We’ve helped out with some very cool events with Stan Lee, The Boston Sci-Fi Marathon and others.

Hey people, I’m going to be introducing a some of the shorts programs at the 2008 Boston Science Fiction Festival this weekend! Illusion has helped to put together a rockin’ program of emerging genre filmmakers and I can’t wait to share their work with a live audience.
