Crime Survivors Celebrity Miniature Golf Tournament

Since I’m in San Diego for Comic Con Int’l I was able to confirm my involvement with a great cause. I’ll be attending the Crime Survivors Celebrity Miniature Golf Tournament to play for this great organization. I’m really excited to be a part of an event like this and hope we can raise some money for the Crime Survivors organization.

Although one of my creations is the infamous Tentacle Grape soda, named for a tongue-in-cheek allusion to fictional violence, real life crime is no laughing matter.   Dealing with the repercussions of a criminal act is one of hardest things anyone will face in their life and statistics say one out of every 26 americans is the victim of a crime. The chances are high that we all know someone who has been affected and it’s our duty to provide support to our friends, family, and neighbors.

I’ll be playing along side Kristoff  St.John (Young and the Restless), Tatyana Ali (Young and the Restless / Fresh Prince of Bel Air), Erin Moran (Happy Days), Jeana Keough (Real Housewives of Orange County), Iva Franks (Las Vegas), Ron Lester (Varsity Blues), Joey Luthman (Weeds), McKenzie Westmore (Passions), and I’ll be pitted directly against the always awesome Sean Hampton from our upcoming series Emissary! There are too many others to list here, but you can see all the complete lineup here.

Sci-Fi London was last week and I recently returned home from a fantastic time. The festival is one of the finest collections of science fiction works I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of. Cory McAbee, Richard Jobson, and I held a talk on directing for screens of all sizes and we followed it up with a little lunch. Marc Caro is an inspiration and I loved talking about his time in Tokyo.

The photo is of the director speakers getting ready to push down into the main screening room. As you can see Marc, Cory, and I were breaking the fourth wall while Gerald and Richard were blisfully unaware of the audience.

I fell in love with London and I have a feeling I’ll be on my way back toward Europa soon.

Guess Who’s on Rock Band’s Website?

It looks like Julia and I made it on the official Rock Band website. The Sundance exploits don’t stop. In the photo are our friend Aaron Douglas, Boris Kievski, Yuri Lowenthal, Tara Platt, Mike Sinterniklaas, and some of the Utah jazz. Check it out here!
