Dekker featured on Gawker Artists

I’ve been selected as a featured Gawker Artist! My digital art will be featured on the entire Gawker family of websites (which includes Gawker, Kotaku, io9, Gizmodo, LifeHacker, and Jezebel)  in addition to all of the Gawker Artists display network.

From their site:

“Gawker Artists is a curated online art community and exhibition program promoting the works of artists of all media. Participating artists receive profile pages on Gawker Artists and are eligible to have their works published in the ad space on Gawker Media titles and included in Gawker Artist sponsored exhibitions. All participation for artists and exhibitors is free.”

I’m really excited about being selected for the gallery since there are so many other awesome people I’m being displayed with. It’s a great honor. Check out the other artists @ the Gawker Artists site.

Gawker Media Uses NoFollow Links?

Interesting. I was linked back to on an article written by io9.com here, but it didn’t show up in my wordpress dashboard under incoming links. I wonder why that line of communication is disabled on Gawker Media sites. Does Gawker use no follow links? If so, is that really fair in game in the blogosphere? I’m really not sure why Gawker and WordPress don’t seem to play well together. Any thoughts?
