Okay, I haven’t truly enjoyed a video game console since the era of SNES and Sega Genesis. I’ve been reading some speculations from “core gamers” and the press that supports them and I have to say that they’re totally wrong about the Wii business model. It’s not attracting people who are “casual gamers” or who “don’t understand console generations”… it’s attracting old school gamers back because we finally have something that feels like what we enjoyed playing. I’m sorry, Doom and MMO-style play, to me, ruined the game industry as entertainment.

speaking of which.. i wince when people describe sims as a ‘casual’ game. Anyone I’ve seen that plays peggle or sims has been way more hardcore than they’re given credit for.
